Richtungsweisend: Nach dem Check-In in der Aula wurden die TeilnehmerInnen zu den Hörsälen gelotst.

Mehr als 1500 KandidatInnen kamen zu den Aufnahmetests für vier Studien an die Uni Graz. Das Team rund um Andrea Penz sorgte für einen reibungslosen Ablauf.

Alle 339 TeilnehmerInnen des Aufnahmetests zum Bachelorstudium Pharmazeutische Wissenschaften zugelassen

Neu ist, dass im Wintersemester 2015/16 an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz erstmals das sechssemestrige Bachelorstudium Pharmazeutische Wissenschaften angeboten wird. Unverändert ist, dass StudienanfängerInnen ein Zulassungsverfahren absolvieren müssen.

Für den Aufnahmetest, der am 3. September 2015 stattfand, hatten sich an der Uni Graz zwar 628 InteressentInnen angemeldet, zur elektronischen Prüfung sind nur 339 BewerberInnen, davon 78 Prozent weiblich, erschienen.
Da die Anzahl der KandidatInnen unter jener der 384 verfügbaren Studienplätze liegt, werden alle TeilnehmerInnen zum Bachelorstudium Pharmazeutische Wissenschaften zugelassen.

Erneut zum Einsatz kam das neue Check-In-System mit QR-Code, das die Uni Graz entwickelte und beim Aufnahmetest für Biologie und Molekularbiologie gestern, Mittwoch, seine Premiere erlebte. >> Mehr Info

Autonomous robots and AI algorithms provide important data and high-resolution real-time images from inside a beehive. "As part of an international team, we have developed a game-changer technology for a new type of digitalised behavioural research," reports biologist Thomas Schmickl from the Artifical Life Lab at the University of Graz. The publication, which has just appeared as the cover story in the journal "Science Robotics", describes the wealth of information that can be obtained from this unique research facility.

Research for healthy aging: FWF funds Cluster of Excellence "MetAGE" with 18 million euros

Six researchers from the Field of Excellence "BioHealth" at the University of Graz, together with colleagues from the Medical Universities of Graz and Vienna, have acquired an FWF-funded "Cluster of Excellence". Now a newly formed center of excellence will be created under the leadership of the University of Graz. The aim is to gain a better understanding of healthy aging. The findings will flow directly into clinical research.
